The Airbrush Museum is dedicated to the history of the airbrush. My name is
Bob Merlin and this is my labor of love. I used do retouching and photography and started repairing airbrushes for people as most
of them weren't too mechanically inclined, especially when it came to Paasche
AB's. That's the path that led to this site about airbrushes and airbrush
history. I hope you can learn a a few things while you visit.

THE INTERNAL MIX AIRBRUSH IS A MYTH! |
|
The
only "internal mix" paint sprayers are the "airless" paint
sprayers used to paint houses! All airbrushes called "internal mix"
actually use the air to "pull" the paint out of the tip. Thank you
Mr. Bernoulli!

GOT PATENTS? |

The
patent collection contains over 450 complete patents relating to airbrushes! Every patent has both
the illustration as well as the
descriptive text. They are assembled in numerical/chronological order with links to all the files
as a link to the free Irfan View you may need to view them. This is a treasure
trove for all you airbrush geeks like me... |

PATENT of the MONTH - Every month a patent of historical interest will be featured. This months patent for the 1894 Overman & Woolston airbrush. It's the most important airbrush you've never heard of! They took Burdicks design and cleaned it up and created a lot of new features. Coming October 15th, the complete story of this amazing airbrush!
